For I know the plans I have

for you says the Lord, plans of

good and not for disaster,

to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11

The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

Lamentations 3:22-23

About

Welcome to my blog!

In 2015, I moved to my 6th state. I was living in New York in Rockland county when the Lord called me to West Texas. I was supposed to move here with the company that I was working for at the time, train a new staff for the location and then move to Dallas 6 months later. Well, God had other plans (Prov 16:9). After about 3 months, I met an amazing man of God. 6 months came and went and that January we were married. Needless to say I'm still in Midland Texas.

Before I left New York, a friend gave me a book to read that she thought would be good for me during my new transition. It was Let's All Be Brave by Annie F. Downs (great book). While reading it, I felt God was telling me that my be brave moment was to write a blog. I knew it was from God because I had never even read a blog before and it felt scary.

After a few weeks of asking God what the purpose of my blog would be, He showed me I needed to share with new believers about the things that I struggled with when I first came to Christ. There were things I didn't know that I wish I had someone to help me with along my journey. For starts, the importance of cutting out things that are not of God that can ultimately have a negative impact on you and your faith even. Or that you can still have great style without dressing too promiscuous. How about the fact that there is great music that you can listen to from all different styles that is Godly. You like rap, great we've got that...you like rock, we've got something you'll probably like, we've even got some schremo type stuff if you're into that sort of thing. If there's a topic I'm covering, it's from a place of been there done that, hope to save you the trip down that road.

God gave me the vision for this blog but fear prevented me from starting it a lot sooner than I did. However; this year He put it back on my heart and used my husband to truly motivate me to get it going and rekindled that desire. The word says, He will give you the desire and power to do what pleases Him (Phil 2:13). This is such a great concept because sometimes our lack of motivation, fear, or even hectic lives can get in the way of doing what God has called us to do.

I hope this blog is a great resource for you as you grow in your faith.

He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

2 Corinthians 1:4

Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her.
